Terms of Service

By creating an account or using LookAhead ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

LookAhead is a personal cash-flow forecasting tool. It helps you track transactions, project your account balance forward in time, and reconcile against your bank statement.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

You must provide a valid email address and accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's infrastructure
• Store actual bank account numbers, routing numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, or other sensitive financial identifiers in any text field. These fields are for labels and descriptions only.

You retain ownership of all data you enter into LookAhead (account names, transaction descriptions, amounts, dates, notes, and categories). By entering this data, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Forecasts and projections are estimates based on what you enter and may not reflect your actual financial situation. Always confirm balances with your bank.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LookAhead and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

We aim to keep LookAhead available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is based. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
